Large quantities of unlicensed medications have actually been taken by Department of Health authorities throughout a search of a house in Glengormley.
A man was interviewed by department officers about unlawfully importing and subsequently providing unlicensed impotence medicines via the web.
The 47-year-old was also questioned about other medication offences.
He will now be the subject of a report to the Public Prosecution Service.
The search was brought out by the department’s Medicines Regulatory Group.
Its senior enforcement office, Peter Moore, stated: “It is essential that we get the message throughout that unlicensed medicines can be dangerous.
“These types of items being offered, generally online, have undergone no quality control and there can be no assurance about their safety.
“You simply do not know what you are taking or the conditions these products were made in. More importantly, you do not know the effect drugs like this may have on your health.”
